Our GeoMarketplace add-on connects a WooCommerce marketplace to GeoDirectory. A vendor’s products are linked to their listing and appear in a Shop tab on the listing page, where visitors can buy them.
What you need
- GeoDirectory and WooCommerce
- a WooCommerce marketplace plugin. MultiVendorX is the one our setup guide uses, and GeoMarketplace also works with WC Vendors, WCFM and Dokan
- the GeoMarketplace add-on
How it works
- You enable the shop feature on the post types you want and add a Shop tab to their details page.
- The listing owner, who is also a vendor, creates a product in the marketplace dashboard and chooses which of their listings it belongs to.
- Once the product is published (by you, or automatically if your marketplace settings allow it), it shows in the Shop tab on that listing.
The full steps are in Configuring and setting up GeoMarketplace.
A simple link to the vendor store
If you only want a button from the listing to the vendor’s store page, you do not need an add-on. Add a URL custom field (for example “Shop link”) in Places > Settings > Custom Fields, let owners enter their store address, and show it on the listing like any other field. How to Add a Custom Field to Custom Post Type shows how.
