The GD > Listings block can show listings as a carousel, so you do not need a separate slider plugin.
- Add the GD > Listings block to a page (or use the
[gd_listings]shortcode). - Set the post type, categories, sort order and Posts to show as usual.
- Set Layout to the number of listings you want side by side on each slide.
- Open the Carousel settings and set With Carousel to Yes.
- Optionally turn on With Indicators and With Controls, set the Interval in seconds (0 stops it moving on its own), and choose the Autoplay behaviour.
- Save the page and check it on desktop and mobile.
The carousel options appear when GeoDirectory uses the Bootstrap design style, which is the default. You can check this in GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Developer.
The same block can filter what goes into the carousel. For example, “Show featured only?” makes a featured listings slider, and “Filter listings related to” shows listings from the same category on a detail page.
GeoDirectory listings are normal WordPress posts of a custom post type, so a third party slider that lets you choose a post type can show them too. It will not know about GeoDirectory fields such as ratings or addresses.
All the block’s options are described in GD > Listings.
