GeoDirectory takes its fonts from your theme, so the quickest way to change the typeface everywhere is in your theme’s typography settings. To change only the listing title or description, use the block settings below or a few lines of CSS.
Change the title size in the block settings
Listings on archive pages, search results and the GD > Listings widget are drawn from the Archive item page template. You can find which page that is under GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages.
- Open the Archive item page in the editor.
- If the page uses the GD > Simple Archive Item block, select it and open the Title group. Set the Font size there.
- If the page uses separate blocks, select the GD > Post Title block and change Font size in its Design settings. The options are Bootstrap sizes (h1 to h6 and display-1 to display-4), so they don’t change the HTML heading tag.
- Update the page and reload a listings page to check the result.
The GD > Post Content block that shows the description has colour and spacing settings but no font size, so use CSS for the description.
Change the font size and typeface with CSS
Add this at Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS (or in your child theme’s style.css) and adjust the values:
/* Listing titles in archive and listings grids */
.geodir-category-list-view .geodir-entry-title,
.geodir-category-list-view .geodir-entry-title a {
font-family: Georgia, serif;
font-size: 20px;
}
/* Listing descriptions in archive and listings grids */
.geodir-category-list-view .geodir-post-content-container {
font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
}
Leave out .geodir-category-list-view if you want the same change on the listing details page as well. If a rule doesn’t apply, your theme may be setting a more specific style, so inspect the element in your browser to see which rule wins.
