GeoDirectory shows each listing inside the page you set as the Details page template, and your theme decides that page’s layout. If the page uses a template without a sidebar, your listings will not have one either.
- Go to GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages and edit the Details Page.
- In the page settings, pick a template that has a sidebar. Many themes also have their own sidebar or layout option in the page editor; set that too.
- Update the page and view a listing.
If the listing still uses the wrong layout, go to GeoDirectory > Settings > Design > Details and choose a template in Page template file override. The same option for category and search pages is under Design > Archives.
What appears in the sidebar
The sidebar is your theme’s widget area, so add GeoDirectory widgets to it in Appearance > Widgets, for example GD > Map or GD > Output Location to show selected listing fields. Use the widget show and hide options to choose which pages each widget appears on.
Building the sidebar into the template instead
You can also skip the theme sidebar: give the Details page a full-width template and build two columns inside it with a Columns block or your page builder. Put GD > Single Tabs in the main column and the GeoDirectory elements you want in the side column. To show the listing description in a builder, use GD > Post Content, which outputs post_content by default. See Using a Builder with GeoDirectory.
