Add the GD > Map block or widget to the sidebar that your search results page uses, with Map type set to Auto or Archive Map. On search results, an Auto map becomes an archive map and shows markers for the listings found.
Add the map
- On a classic theme, go to Appearance > Widgets and add GD > Map to the sidebar your theme shows on the search page. On a block theme, add the GD > Map block to the template the search page uses in the Site Editor.
- Set Map type to Auto or Archive Map.
- Tick Enable sticky map? if you want the map to stay in view while visitors scroll on desktop.
- Save, then run a search to check it.
If the map does not appear
- Check which page is your search page in GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages > Search Page, and make sure its page template has a sidebar.
- GeoDirectory > Settings > Design > Archives > Page template file override forces a page template for archive output and takes priority over the template chosen on the page. Leave it on the default unless you need it.
- Check the widget’s show and hide settings include the search page. See widget show and hide options.
- A search with no results has no markers to show.
All map settings are listed in GD > Map.
