No. GeoDirectory uses a Google Maps API key, and the OAuth consent screen is only for apps that ask people to sign in with their Google account. You can ignore the reminder in the Google Cloud console.
The maps need a working API key, and billing must be enabled on the Google Cloud project that owns it. Add the key at GeoDirectory > Settings > General, in the Google Maps API KEY field under Map Settings. Get a Google API Key walks through creating one.
Maps load but show no markers
If the map appears but shows no listings, check these in order:
- Billing is enabled on the Google Cloud project that owns the key.
- The listings have a category. Markers use the category icon.
- Your browser console has no JavaScript errors. An error from another plugin or the theme can stop the map script before it adds the markers. Turn plugins off one at a time to find it.
- Leave the API key field empty to switch to OpenStreetMap as a test. If the OSM map also shows no markers, the cause is not the Google key.
