GeoDirectory has a Special Offers field for listing deals, and you can build a deals page from it. It does not sell vouchers or coupons: there is no deal checkout, redemption code or purchase tracking.
Add the Special Offers field
- Go to Places > Settings > Custom Fields.
- Add the predefined Special Offers field. Keep its key as
special_offers, because other GeoDirectory features look for that key. - Save. Listing owners can now enter their offer when they add or edit a listing.
With the Pricing Manager add-on you can make the field available only on some price packages, so offers are something owners pay for.
Make a deals page
Create a page and add the GD > Listings block with “Only show listings with special offers?” ticked:
[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" show_special_only="1" post_limit="12"]
With the Location Manager add-on, tick “Enable location filter?” as well to show offers in the visitor’s current location.
Highlight listings with an offer
Use GD > Post Badge to show a label on listings that have an offer, on archive cards or the detail page:
[gd_post_badge key="special_offers" condition="is_not_empty" badge="Special offer"]
If you need to sell deals and handle redemption, you would need a separate e-commerce or coupon plugin alongside GeoDirectory. Some plugins we recommend are listed in GeoDirectory recommended plugins.
