A map on your GeoDirectory category or listing pages comes from a GD > Map block placed somewhere on that page. To remove it, find where that block is. There are three usual places.
1. A map widget in a sidebar
Go to Appearance > Widgets (or your theme’s sidebar settings) and look for a GD > Map widget. A map with Map type set to Auto shows the archive map on category and search pages and the single listing map on detail pages, so one widget can put a map on every GeoDirectory page.
If you want to keep the sidebar but only want the map on the detail page, remove the widget from the sidebar and add a GD > Map block to your details template page instead (see below).
2. The GeoDirectory template pages
Archive, search and detail pages are built from template pages that you edit like normal pages. Go to GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages to see which page is used for each:
- Archive page: categories, tags and the post type archive.
- Search Page: search results.
- Details Page: the single listing page.
A post type can use its own template pages, set in Places > Settings > General. Open the page in the editor, delete the GD > Map block or [gd_map] shortcode, and update the page.
3. Your theme
Some directory themes add a map to the header of GeoDirectory pages through their own settings. If you cannot find a map block anywhere above, check your theme’s options.
For showing a block only to some visitors, see widget show / hide options. The map block’s settings are described in GD > Map.
