GeoDirectory has no built-in Gravity Forms integration. The form integrations it ships with are Ninja Forms and Elementor Pro forms. You can still put a Gravity Forms form on your listing pages, it just will not know about the listing without custom code.
What the built-in integrations do
- Ninja Forms: the GD > Ninja Forms widget opens a form in a lightbox from a listing page. With the post contact option set, it only shows on listings that have an email address, so it works as a contact form for the listing. See Ninja Forms.
- Elementor Pro forms: GeoDirectory adds a GD Email Listing action, which sends the form to the listing’s email address.
Both have a free or common option (Ninja Forms is free on WordPress.org), which is why we chose them.
Using Gravity Forms anyway
You can add any Gravity Forms shortcode or block to the details template, so it shows on every listing:
- Go to GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages and open the page set as Details Page.
- Add your Gravity Forms block where you want it, or add it inside a tab at Places > Settings > Tabs.
- Update the page.
Gravity Forms will send entries to whatever recipient you set in the form. Sending each entry to the owner of the listing being viewed needs a custom snippet that reads the listing’s email field.
The add listing form cannot be replaced with Gravity Forms. Listings must be submitted through GeoDirectory’s own add listing form, which you build at Places > Settings > Custom Fields.
