Current versions of GeoDirectory do not load chosen.css on your site, so a 404 for chosen-sprite.png or [email protected] does not come from an up to date GeoDirectory install.
Older GeoDirectory versions used the Chosen library for dropdowns, and its stylesheet pointed to a high resolution [email protected] for retina screens that was missing from the plugin. That was fixed long ago: both sprite images now ship in geodirectory/assets/images/. Dropdowns are now handled by Select2 or by the Bootstrap based AyeCode UI styles, depending on your design style setting.
If you still see the 404
- Update GeoDirectory and all its add-ons to the latest versions.
- Clear your page cache, any CSS minify or combine cache, and your CDN cache. A combined stylesheet built from an old version can keep requesting the old file.
- Open the browser developer tools, go to the Network tab and find which stylesheet asks for the sprite. If the path is not inside the geodirectory plugin folder, another plugin or the theme is loading its own copy of Chosen.
A missing sprite only affects the small arrow and search icons inside Chosen dropdowns. It does not stop forms from working.
