When you sell listings with the GeoDirectory Pricing Manager, payments go through GetPaid, so coupon codes are GetPaid discounts. Visitors enter the code on the checkout page after they submit their listing. The add listing form has no coupon field.
Create a coupon
- Go to GetPaid > Discounts and click Add New.
- Enter the Discount Code, then choose the Discount Type and Discount Amount.
- To limit the coupon to some packages, pick them under Items. Each Pricing Manager package is a GetPaid item.
- Set a Start Date, Expiration Date, Minimum Amount, Maximum Amount or Maximum Uses if you need them.
- Publish the discount.
Where visitors enter the code
After a user submits a listing with a paid package, they go to the GetPaid checkout to pay the invoice. The default checkout form, Checkout (default) under GetPaid > Payment Forms, includes a Discount Input with a Coupon Code field. If you removed it, edit the form and add the Discount Input element again.
Deals that businesses offer to their customers
Coupons that businesses advertise to visitors are a different thing. For those, add the Special Offers field to the post type under Places > Settings > Custom Fields. Owners can then type their current offer on the add listing form, and it shows on the listing.
To set up paid packages, see the Pricing Manager setup guide.
