“No Records Found” means the map loaded but the request for markers came back empty. GeoDirectory fetches markers through the WordPress REST API and only shows listings that have coordinates and match the map’s filters. Check these in order.
1. The listings have coordinates
Listings without a latitude and longitude are left off the map. Edit a listing that should appear and check that the address field has a map pin set. Listings imported from a CSV without coordinates are the usual cause.
2. The listings have a category
Each listing needs at least one category, and a default category set. The map filters markers by category and uses the category icon for the marker.
3. The map’s category filter
If the GD > Map block has the category filter on, only ticked categories are shown. Check the categories you ticked in the block settings, and the boxes visitors can untick under the map.
4. The current location
With the Location Manager add-on, the map only shows listings in the location the visitor has selected. Switch to “Everywhere” or another city and see whether markers appear.
5. Private addresses
Listings with the private address option are hidden from the map for visitors who are not allowed to see that address.
6. The REST API is reachable
Open /wp-json/geodir/v2/markers/?post_type=gd_place on your site in a browser. You should see a list of markers. If you get an error, a login page or a blank page, something is blocking the REST API: often a security plugin, a firewall rule or plain permalinks. Set Settings > Permalinks to anything except Plain and allow the geodir/v2 REST routes.
If the map itself does not load at all, see maps have stopped working on my site.
