A user dashboard on a GeoDirectory site is built from a few parts. GD > Dashboard links users to their listings and favorites. UsersWP, our free profile plugin, adds account and profile pages. If you charge for listings, Pricing Manager and GetPaid add renewals, upgrades and invoices.
Quick links with GD > Dashboard
Add the [gd_dashboard] shortcode, or the GD > Dashboard block or widget, to a page or sidebar. Logged-in users see links to add a listing and to view their listings and favorites, for each post type. On their listings page they can edit or delete each listing. See GD > Dashboard.
Account and profile pages with UsersWP
- Install and activate UsersWP. It creates pages such as Account, Profile and Change Password.
- Go to UsersWP > Settings > Addons > GeoDirectory.
- Choose the post types that should get Listings, Reviews and Favorites tabs on each user’s profile.
- Save, then add the account and profile pages to your menu.
Users change their password and account details on the UsersWP pages. You don’t need any paid UsersWP add-on for this.
Renew and upgrade listings
With Pricing Manager active, the actions on a user’s own listings include Renew and Upgrade links when the listing’s package allows them. Both take the user to checkout. Upgrades only appear for packages you have set up as upgradable, see How to Add “Upgradable” Packages?.
Invoices and subscriptions
GetPaid’s [wpinv_history] and [wpinv_subscriptions] shortcodes list a user’s invoices and subscriptions, and users can cancel a subscription from its details. With UsersWP active, GetPaid can add these as tabs on the UsersWP account page.
Card details are stored by the payment gateway, not on your site.
