GeoDirectory doesn’t have its own breadcrumbs. They come from your theme or an SEO plugin, and GeoDirectory adds its listing categories to the breadcrumbs of Yoast SEO and Rank Math.
Check your theme first
Many themes have a breadcrumbs option in their customizer or theme settings. If yours does, turn it on and check a listing page and a category page.
Use Yoast SEO
- Turn on breadcrumbs in the Yoast SEO settings.
- Edit your GeoDirectory Details Page and Archive page templates (GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages) and add the shortcode
[wpseo_breadcrumb]where you want them. - Update the pages.
On a listing page GeoDirectory adds the listing’s default category to the trail, so it reads like Home > Places > Restaurants > Listing name.
Use Rank Math
Turn on breadcrumbs in Rank Math and add its breadcrumb block or shortcode to the same two template pages. GeoDirectory adds the main category to Rank Math breadcrumbs in the same way.
You can add the breadcrumb shortcode to other GeoDirectory pages too, such as the search page. If you use Rank Math or Yoast for your titles, see also GeoDirectory variables in Yoast and GeoDirectory variables in Rank Math.
