Most GeoDirectory blocks and widgets have their own design settings, so you can often change borders, shadows, colours, spacing and text without writing CSS. Open the block in the editor, or the widget under Appearance > Widgets, and look through the setting groups.
A few examples:
- GD > Categories has Card Design, Icon / Image, Category Text and Count Text groups for the card style, icon colour and size, and the font of the category names and counts.
- GD > Loop has Card border, Card shadow, Card row gap and Card column gap for the listing cards on archive and search pages.
- GD > CPT Listings (from the Custom Post Types add-on) shows your post types as cards. Set Card border and Card shadow to None for a plain list without lines around each item.
Add your own CSS
GeoDirectory does not have its own custom CSS box. Add CSS where your theme keeps it: Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS on a classic theme, or Styles > Additional CSS in the Site Editor on a block theme.
To style one block without touching the others, give it a class name. Every block has an Additional CSS class(es) setting in its Advanced group. If you add my-sidebar-list there, this removes the borders inside that block only:
.my-sidebar-list,
.my-sidebar-list * {
border: 0 !important;
}
Use your browser’s inspect tool to find the class of the exact element you want to change. Our list of frequently asked CSS customizations has more examples, and What makes GeoDirectory widgets special explains the shared settings.
