Tick Remove default city limit at GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Default Location. With it ticked, listings can be added anywhere. With it unticked, the add listing map only accepts addresses in your default city and shows “Please choose any address of the (city) city only.”

The setting is ticked by default on new installs, so if you see that message on a site without Location Manager, it has been turned off.

If you use Location Manager

With the Location Manager add-on active, the core setting no longer applies and the limits come from GeoDirectory > Locations > Settings. Country, Region and City each have their own mode:

• Enable default country (or region, or city): only your default one is allowed, and its drop-down is hidden on the add listing form and the location switcher.
• Enable multi countries (or regions, or cities): any location is allowed.
• Enable selected countries (or regions, or cities): only the ones you pick are allowed.

If a listing is refused with “Please choose any address of the (name) country only” or the region or city version of that message, change the matching mode to multi, or add the location to your selected list. See Settings overview for Locations > Settings.
