GeoDirectory reviews are WordPress comments with a star rating attached. You can turn off just the stars, or reviews altogether, for each post type.
Remove the star ratings only
- Go to Places > Settings > General (use your own post type’s menu if it isn’t Places).
- Click Show Advanced.
- Tick Disable ratings and save.
Visitors can still leave comments, but without stars.
Remove reviews completely
On the same screen, tick Disable comments and save. That closes reviews on every listing of that post type, and the GD > Post Rating stars stop showing on them.
Each post type has its own settings, so you can keep reviews on Places and remove them from Events, for example.
You don’t need to turn off comments for your whole site in Settings > Discussion. That would close comments on your blog posts too.
One listing or one package
To close reviews on a single listing, see How to disable comments on a listing. With the Pricing Manager add-on, each package also has a Disable Reviews? option, so you can offer reviews on some packages only.
Tidying up templates
If a Reviews tab is left on your listing pages, remove it under Places > Settings > Tabs. If you added GD > Post Rating to a custom archive item template, you can take it out there too.
