GeoDirectory has one setting for the largest file a user can upload and a per-field setting for how many images a listing can have. If you use Pricing Manager, each package can set its own image limit.
Maximum upload file size
- Go to GeoDirectory > Settings > General.
- Click Show Advanced at the top of the screen. This setting is hidden until you do.
- Under Listing Settings, set “Max upload file size(in mb)”. The default is 2.
- Save changes.
This limit applies to image and file uploads on the add listing form and to listing imports, across GeoDirectory and its add-ons. It cannot go above your server’s PHP upload limit, which is shown next to the setting. Your host can raise that one.
Number of images per listing
- Go to Places > Settings > Custom Fields (use the post type you want to change).
- Open the Images field.
- Set “File upload limit”. Enter 0 or leave it blank to allow unlimited images.
- Save the field.
With Pricing Manager, each package has an Image Limit setting. Listings in that package get that limit, so paid packages can allow more photos. Leave it blank for unlimited.
Image dimensions
GeoDirectory keeps the original upload and creates the image sizes set in Settings > Media, the same way WordPress does for the media library. The upload size limit above is the way to stop very large files. To change which size is shown on your pages, see How to Resize GD Post Images?.
