GeoDirectory has no setting that ticks “near me” in the search automatically. A browser only shares a visitor’s exact location after they agree to it, so the visitor has to take one step. You can make that step a single click, or show nearby listings straight away using an approximate location.
Add a Near Me button
With Location Manager active, add the GD > Near Me Button block or widget beside your search bar or at the top of the home page. When a visitor clicks it, the browser asks to share their location, and they see the listings around them. Options are in GD > Near Me Button.
Show nearby listings without a click
GD > Listings has a “Filter Nearby User/Visitor GPS” option under its Filters settings. With it ticked, the block shows listings near the visitor from a lookup of their IP address. There is no permission prompt, but an IP lookup is less precise than the location a browser shares.

It only works for post types that use addresses.
